Revolutionizing the Indian workplace, one company at a time

Mrs. Pooja Bajaj Chadha, the Founder, and CEO of ExtraMile, talks about her innovative and unique offerings revolutionizing the Indian workplace

The upward curve of ExtraMile?

It all began with the inception of a concept back in 2013, to go the extra mile and transform the workplace with happier employees! For us at ExtraMile, it’s exciting to see an old team member jump and scream with joy over a game won or a group of employees laughing till their stomachs hurt at an event. Evolving from the skill-development workshops by a team of 2 individuals, to bagging our first client, Vodafone, to expanding to a 75-strong clientele over the past decade, we’ve come a long way. Our client base is enriched with industry giants such as Google, Zee TV, Aditya Birla Capital, BookMyShow and Kotak Mahindra Bank, among others.

We continuously brainstorm for fresh ideas and trends to build maximum engagement at the workplace. To keep up with the ever-evolving trends of the digital era, we introduced several digital engagements as an all-in-one solution to connect employees across boundaries and build active participation, learning through play and so on. We are committed to lead the industry with experiential learning, gamification, calendar events, and virtual team building, all while having fun together!

How are you transforming CSR innovations?

We conduct empathy-building workshops for teams to explore the community beyond their comfort zone and realize the value of giving back. From engaging employees of BPCL in building cycles for orphanages in Pune and Nasik to GAP, Kohler and Clix Capital in Delhi who made educational toys for little children and Aditya Birla Health Insurance employees painting canvas shoes on Independence Day, our foremost objective is to have teams collaborate and work towards a common purpose while making a difference to human lives.

One of our most memorable events has been watching employees of Google India build ‘Wheels of Hope’ – a race to gather spare parts, leading to the construction of wheelchairs for residents of an old-age home. In the words of our Founder, “It was a magical moment to see the employees touched by stories of men and women who could now enjoy the freedom of being mobile thanks to this initiative by the Google Team.”

What does ExtraMile’s near future look like?

Currently operating across 25 cities in India, we’re looking to further expand our presence, build the tech arm by introducing our very first IP and continue to offer customized solutions to each client to ACE – be Agile, Customer Centric, and develop an Engaged Workforce.
