This activity requires you to build a catapult with the help of a facilitator and materials provided. They can then be asked to launch effectively or even catching improbable objects. Hilarity ensues!

Yes, you got it right, you have to construct a catapult. From scratch. And it ain’t child’s play. And you won’t just build it, we shall test it. There are two rounds of this- first one judging the distance and the second one judging the distance and accuracy. Kittens won’t come flying, that we can promise! But everything else that can go wrong will go wrong and that is what makes it so exciting.

You have to negotiate for building material, prototype it, brainstorm it, apply the little physics you remember and fine tune it for effective landing. And of course, no two of you will have a common idea and well, that’s fun to watch, isn’t it?

Round-up

Building a structure, just like building a business plan, requires a lot of cooperation. How do you convince and get convinced? It is not intensely competitive but more about learning to survive and work in a team.
