Problem
With employees spread across multiple malls, offices, and customer-facing roles, Nexus Malls faced the challenge of creating consistent D&I engagement that reached everyone meaningfully. Traditional one-off celebrations had limited impact, and the team needed a more structured, sustained approach that connected with different demographic groups covering women, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ employees, and others, while aligning with the brand’s inclusive values.
Solution By Extramileplay
For 2 consecutive years now, ExtraMile Play has built a 12-month engagement calendar anchored around global observances, company milestones, and everyday inclusion moments. Each month featured a distinct theme – ranging from gender equity and accessibility to cultural harmony, brought to life through virtual experiences, storytelling sessions, leadership talks, gamified challenges, and in-mall activations. Hosted virtuall for all to attend and anchored by experts, the program combines education with participation, ensuring every employee could learn, engage, and express themselves.
